How a Toyota Stripe is Duplicated
Over the years as Toyota stripes were available, we would sacrifice a complete kit by applying it to a white backing board and running it through a flatbed scanner. This gives us a photographic picture that we can base size, colors and patterns
from. That info is then inputted into a computer format to be reproduced in the various colors Toyota offered there different stripes.*
JDC's Aftermarket Toyota stripes are printed with the EDGE2 on 3M High Performance Automotive Grade Vinyl or Avery Automotive Grade Performance Vinyl, depending on the color needed. Then a layer of clear uv vinyl is applied on top of the print to give added print and uv stability and durability to the graphics. Finally,
the shapes are cut out on a plotter, the excess is weeded away and the remainder has application tape applied to hold the shape together for install. Your order will come with installation instructions, application squeegee and stripe(s) and/or logo(s). You won't find a better stripe product out there.
* A few kits that were not available to be scanned, were duplicated by finding an original Toyota kit on a vehicle, and tracing the shape and size. Carefully documenting the blend pattern with photos we recreate the fade/blend with computer software. Most kits can be panel repaired because of the lengths gone to reproduce as accurately as possible. A few
may require changing the whole side because of fade or print technique differences. Some colors that were drum printed may vary slightly to the layer process we use to achieve the color. Also
late 80's and some 90's Toyota stripes had two manufactures, explaining slight print differences and the two part #'s listed for each kit.
